Izna (이즈나) is a pre-debut South Korean girl group consisting of seven members under WAKEONE Entertainment. The group includes Mai, Jeemin, Jiyoon, Koko, Sarang, Jungeun, and Saebi. Izna was formed through the survival program I-LAND2: N/α, a collaboration with producer Teddy and THEBLACKLABEL. The group is set to debut in late 2024.
Overview of Izna’s Formation
I-LAND2: N/α premiered on April 18, 2024, with the live finale airing on July 4, 2024, where the top seven winners formed the girl group Izna. The lineup was chosen by taking the top five contestants as voted by I-MATEs: Choi Jungeun, Bang Jeemin, Yoon Jiyoon, Koko, and Ryu Sarang, along with two producer picks: Mai and Jeong Saebi.
The I-LAND 2 finale brought quite a few unexpected moments that surprised many viewers. Originally, IZNA was thought to be a six-member group. However, the judges took the audience by surprise when they announced that one more member would be added to the lineup.
On the other hand, one of the fan-favorite contestants, Fuko, a WakeOne trainee who performed outstandingly in nearly every round of I-LAND 2, did not make it into IZNA’s debut lineup.
Among the top seven winners, Jeemin previously competed on the survival show RU NEXT?, while Jungeun was a contestant on CAP-TEEN.
IZNA will make their debut performance as a group at KCON LA on July 28, 2024.

Izna revealed the tracklist for their first mini-album, N/a, on November 11th through their official SNS channels. According to the tracklist, the mini-album includes a total of five songs: the title track “IZNA,” along with “TIMEBOMB,” “IWALY (I Will Always Love You),” “DRIP,” and “FAKE IT.”
Notably, world-class producer Teddy, known for creating numerous K-pop hits, contributed to the title track “IZNA” as well as “TIMEBOMB,” adding a high level of polish to the album. Additionally, producers from THEBLACKLABEL, who have worked with Izna since I-LAND2, also contributed to the album’s production.
This mini-album also includes Izna’s versions of the I-LAND2 mission songs “IWALY,” “DRIP,” and “FAKE IT,” showing off their strengthened synergy and fresh charm that are expected to captivate global fans.
The first mini-album, N/a, embodies the journey of these girls with boundless potential as they push past their limits, break through fears, and embark on a challenge in a new world. With a title track that shares the group’s name, Izna is set to boldly enter the music scene with unwavering confidence.
Already capturing global fans’ attention even before their official debut, Izna is building up excitement with a variety of promotional activities. On the 22nd, they will unveil their debut stage for the first time at the 2024 MAMA Awards held at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan, signaling the birth of an iconic new group.
Meanwhile, Izna’s first mini-album N/a will be released on various online music platforms on the 25th at 6 PM.
